Ho, ho, ho, hum

January 4th, 2008 by admin

We’ve finally settled back in from the long “vacation” to Louisville and gotten all the animals back home where they belong. Tatie is still following me around the house meowing plaintively, which he normally only does when he wants food, but this is more of a “don’t leave me at the vet again pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease” kind of meow. Lilly is doing much the same thing, even though she went with us, and Romeo has been quiet and sleeping on her cage since we got home today, which is exactly what I’d be doing if I’d spent two week surrounded by hundreds of vary large and very loud birds.

Christmas was very nice, if a little exhausting. Among the many lovely gifts I received, I got this from Chip, which I thoroughly abused on our trip.

I probably got a lot of other great stuff too, but I haven’t had the energy to unpack the car yet, so I can’t properly catalog it.

Chip got a lampworking kit, which includes all of the fun tools one needs to make glass beads, figurines, and other small projects. I can’t wait to play with it, although I’m afraid we’ll burn the house down.

Kory stayed down south for an extra week and will return Sunday in time to get ready for school, which is exactly what I’ll be doing. It’s shaping up to be a busy quarter for me, and considering what I (see: Chip) had to pay for books, it’d better be darned enlightening.

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday. Among my many resolutions this new year is to blog better … I’ve discovered some really impressive blogs and I’m in awe of how people keep up with them and keep the content interesting. See my blogroll for the best of the best.

I’ll leave you with some photos from the past couple of weeks … I gots cute niecii. And a dorky little kid of my own.
